Terms of use
Terms of use
What Maya undertakes to do, what she does not do, and what you agree to by using her.
Last updated — 31 August 2026
1. Purpose
These terms govern the use of the Maya app and of getmaya.app, published by Darius Zdancewicz, sole trader (29 Chemin de Kerroué, 29000 Quimper, France, business number 10757230700018). Creating an account means accepting them.
2. What the service is
Maya builds training and nutrition programmes from what you tell her about yourself, revises them as your results come in, and guides you through sessions. Those programmes are generated by an artificial intelligence.
3. Health warning
Before you start, ask a doctor if you are pregnant, if you have a cardiac, respiratory or metabolic condition, if you live with an eating disorder, if you are recovering from an injury or an operation, or if you are returning to activity after a long break.
During effort, stop at once if you feel chest pain, dizziness, abnormal breathlessness or sharp joint pain, and seek advice. Never push through an exercise because Maya put it in the programme: your body decides, not she.
You use the app at your own risk, and you alone judge what your physical condition allows.
4. Maya's answers can be wrong
A language model produces plausible answers, not verified ones. Maya can be wrong about a calorie count, about how a movement is performed, or about what a photo shows. Keep your judgement: what strikes you as absurd or dangerous probably is.
5. Your account
- Registration is for adults only.
- An account is personal. You are responsible for what happens on it and for keeping your credentials confidential.
- The information you give about your body and your health must be accurate: the whole programme is computed from it.
- You can close your account at any time from settings. Deletion is immediate and final.
6. Subscription
Access to Maya may be offered by subscription, taken out from the app through the App Store. In that case the sale is concluded with Apple, who takes the payment, issues the invoice and handles refunds. We never have access to your payment details.
- Price and duration are shown before the purchase is confirmed.
- The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the term.
- Cancellation is done in your Apple account settings, at any time, and takes effect at the end of the current period.
- Refund requests are a matter for Apple and its terms.
As the content is supplied immediately and in digital form, performance begins on subscription, with your express agreement and your waiver of the right of withdrawal to that extent, under Article L.221-28 of the French consumer code.
7. What you agree not to do
- Use the app to obtain medical advice, or use it in place of medical care.
- Send Maya unlawful content, or photos of people who have not agreed to it.
- Attempt to extract, copy or replay the service's content and models, or to automate access to them.
- Share your account, or resell access to the service.
8. Ownership
The app, its interface, its exercise content and the character of Maya are protected. The data you produce by using it — your profile, your sessions, your exchanges — remains yours, and you can export it at any time.
9. Availability and liability
The service is provided as is, with no guarantee of continuous availability: maintenance, a provider outage or a technical change may interrupt it. We cannot be held liable for the consequences of a use contrary to the health warning in article 3, nor for indirect damage.
Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law grants you as a consumer, nor our liability in case of gross negligence or personal injury.
10. Termination
You leave whenever you want, by closing your account. We may suspend an account that seriously breaches these terms, after warning you except in an emergency.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. In case of disagreement, let us look for an amicable solution first: write to hello@getmaya.app.
Failing an amicable solution, the French courts have jurisdiction. The rights the law grants consumers, including the option of bringing a claim before the court where they live, remain untouched.
